Job Title: Tubac Chamber of Commerce Business Manager

Salary: $42,000, Full-time, with part-time work from home, and regular in-person meetings.  Includes two weeks’ paid time off. Gross monthly salary is $3,500.

Location: Tubac, Arizona

Summary: The Business Manager, with board of director leadership and event coordinator assistance, will play a key role in supporting the economic development and growth of the Tubac Chamber of Commerce. This position, which requires proficiency in Financial Management, Business Development, and Fundraising, with proficiency in other areas being advantageous but not obligatory, will oversee various aspects of business development, financial management, media production, and community engagement to promote the local economy with a focus on Tubac member businesses.


Business Development:

  • Work with the Chamber’s Small Business Advocate to identify opportunities to attract and support local businesses, entrepreneurs, and artisans in Tubac.
  • Work with the Chamber’s Membership Director to foster relationships with business owners to understand their needs and provide assistance as needed.

Financial Management:

  • Attend regular meetings with the Treasurer to develop and
    manage Chamber budgets including revenue forecasting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Conduct daily purchasing, shipping, receiving, and invoices for regular chamber business such as event payables, media purchases, office supplies, bathroom supplies etc.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage local membership drive in April and procure sponsor level memberships for chamber events and media campaigns throughout the year.
  • Lead the end-to-end process of grant applications, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with potential grant-making organizations and sponsors.

Media and Event Management:

  • Oversee and assist with the production of the annual Village Map, Map Advertising, Village Directories, and Chamber Newsletter.
  • Collaborate with the Chamber’s Community Liaison and the Tubac Festival of the Arts Promoter to facilitate festival logistics, including regulations and permits.
  • Work with the Chamber’s Marketing Manager to develop marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to showcase Tubac’s unique attractions and cultural heritage.
  • Collaborate with local tourism organizations and businesses to promote Tubac as a destination for visitors and tourists.
  • Coordination and production of media promotion for events, tourism, local and regional economic development, and graphic design administration for all media, social, TV, print, and radio.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure that the Chamber complies with nonprofit status, corporation commission, licensing requirements, and other legal obligations.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to businesses navigating regulatory processes and procedures.

Miscellaneous Responsibilities:

  • Property Management: Facilitate as needed maintenance of chamber properties including entry sign maintenance, utilities at entry, public bathrooms in the Plaza at 18 Will Rogers Lane, and utilities for festival events,
  • Coordinate meeting space with the Tubac Community Center.
  • Website Management: Coordinate and facilitate website maintenance.
