Detailed Information

Old Presidio Traders is a family-owned and operated trading post in Tubac, Arizona and is the oldest Trading Post in Southern Arizona.  Since 1982 we have provided our customers with satisfaction guaranteed authentic American Indian Handmade Jewelry, Kachinas, Rugs, Pottery, Baskets, Artifacts and more.  The jewelry is Sterling Silver, and is Handcrafted by Navajo, Zuni, Hopi, Tohono O’odham, and Santo Domingo Indians.

We are also well known for carrying the largest collection of Dead Pawn Jewelry.  It is jewelry that is pawned at 6 different Trading Posts on the Indian Reservation.  These Trading Posts take in jewelry, saddles, tools, and sometimes cars in from the local Indians.  In the pawn, we get older jewelry and new jewelry which is different and unique.  Our Pawn jewelry case is unrivaled in selection.

We also take in thousands of repairs from around the US and what can’t be fixed here is taken to be fixed on the Reservation.  Anything from ring sizing, restrings on any type of necklaces and stone replacement can be done.

Navajo Silversmiths Monroe and Lillie Ashley have been working for us since we’ve opened and with our large selection of stones, they are able to create a piece of custom jewelry at any time.

Our stock is constantly changing, and we always carry lots of Navajo and Hopi Kachinas, Zuni Fetishes, Storytellers, Navajo Sand Paintings, Apache Ceremonial Dresses and much more.

At Old Presidio Traders, we offer a variety of unique gift items for Western enthusiasts.

We are also known for our large selection  of T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Wind Chimes, Wind Spinners, Home Decor, and Southwest Souvenirs.

We are proud to be known for our honesty, integrity, and selection for over 40 years.
