My paintings are born of my love for the natural world and informed by Impressionism and American regional midcentury art. The western landscape brings me a sense of beauty and serenity that I wish to convey in my paintings. Many of my oil paintings are painted plein air, in the ever changing light of the outdoors. In my studio, I do stylized paintings in acrylic based on the scenes I have painted and photographed while traveling or hiking. My paintings are currently for sale at the Tubac Center for the Arts Gift Shop, as are greeting cards featuring my paintings and my novel, “Seeking the Whiteroot, an Australian Story”. Additionally I participate in Open Studio and sell my artwork in my home gallery by appointment. Occasionally I host private (by invitation) art opening receptions featuring my art work and that of a guest artist.
