imageedit_1_4179939206The Silver Hat is an Art and Jewelry Gallery, owned by

Valerie St. John DeLong. Mediums found in the gallery are: Oils, Acrylics, Jewelry, Bronze Sculptures, Pottery and Crystal~Glass.
Valerie retired as an Army Chaplain in 2009.  Her undergraduate degree was in Musical Arts (Piano) and business. In her 20’s she put her business education to use by starting, owning, and operating a catering service in Denver. After 6 years of displaying beautiful and healthy food, she sold the business to finish her degree and attend seminary before entering the military as a chaplain.
She retired in 2009 as a Colonel, after 22 years of service.

Valerie turned her love of jewelry making, a pastime, into an art by creating innovative designs and learning about the quality of stones, as well as showing in galleries and stores.  Fine art, a pastime during her military years, is now a full-time joy as she manages the gallery and works directly with award winning artists from around the world.  When one enters The Silver Hat, the freedom of  artist expression, discipline and experience shows forth in an elegant display of mixed media.

about2About Koorey Creations

Koorey Creations was established in Saugatuck, Michigan in 1983. Deborah Koorey, goldsmith/owner is carrying on the goldsmithing/retailing tradition with her daughter Grace, to the third generation. Creative contributions and custom support services are made by not only the long-time jewelry masters in the Koorey family, but also by other artisans and jewelry manufacturers that meet the highest standards of quality craftsmanship and creativity.

In 2004, Koorey Creations opened its second location in Tubac, Arizona. La Entrada de Tubac, houses an on-site working studio and larger showroom space. In 2008, Koorey Creations launched its multi-media art program featuring a small group of nationally and internationally known painters, glass artist and sculptures. Some of those artists have created “custom collections” just for Koorey Creations.

As always, our standards of excellence apply to each creation presented at Koorey Creations, whether it be a jewelry heirloom or the next potential Picasso!

“Our intention is to provide a joyful, creative experience, in not only the product we supply, but the memories we share,” according to Deborah Koorey. “In general, folks visit Saugatuck and Tubac, to experience the inspiration, respite and beauty these locations provide. Our challenge is to heighten that experience with our craft.”

The Red Door

teaser-storeWelcome to The Red Door Gallery. This is the place where CK Wearden presents her rich array of contemporary southwest art filled with images of the Native American and Hispanic cultures that are so much a part of this vibrant region in Tubac, Arizona.

CK paints in series, thus presenting multiple images that carry a common bond. She has been painting since the age of 12 and made a formal commitment to her work as an oil painter in 1974. She is primarily self-taught , her passion fueled by a life lived with deep spiritual bonds – Love, Truth and Compassion for all. A life long journey seeking to walk in balance, raising five children and working part-time, her painting never suffered only flourished.

She started taking awards in 1977 and now has her own gallery. Her work is collected by enthusiasts all across the country. She is greatly influenced by the Native Americans having spent time on the Colville Reservation and lived 25 years in Idaho, home of the Shoshone-Bannock. She also lived 8 years in Tumacacori, Arizona where Geronimo and his renegades coveted a hideout in the mountain directly behind her studio. “I am grateful for such a wonderful walk in this lifetime”. “I am so happy that I got to be an artist”.
