The Tucson Seven Art Exhibit Nov. 13-Jan. 24
January 7, 2016 - January 8, 2016
“The Tucson Seven” Harley Brown, Duane Bryers, Don Crowley, Tom Hill, Bob Kuhn, Ken Riley, Howard Terpning Historic Works of Western Art November 13, 2015 – January 24, 2016. We are fortunate here in Southern Arizona to be the home of some of the West’s most noted artists and painters. The Tucson Seven were first illustrators and successful painters in the Chicago and New York publishing worlds before they all moved west. For various reasons, they came from Canada, Michigan, California, Texas, New York, Missouri and Illinois to the Tucson area. They first joined together in an unstructured group to enjoy each other’s company. Combining talent, experience and common backgrounds, they met socially on a regular basis with a common bond of friendship and artistic pursuits. This very successful group share national reputations and represent a special generation of painters who moved from the world of East Coast illustration to new careers painting subjects in the American West and around the world.
