Padre Eusebio Francisco Kino (1645-1711) is often called the “Padre on Horseback.”
A missionary, explorer, astronomer and mapmaker, Father Kino surmounted numerous challenges as he journeyed through Mexico, Arizona and California. Friday, May 20, 2pm: The 1977 fact-based movie The Story of Father Kino. Richard Egan stars as Kino with co-stars Ricardo Montalban, Cesar Romero and John Ireland. 93 minutes. Included with park admission: $5 adult, $2 youth 7-13, children free.
