Welcome to Tubac, a historic destination for the arts! Tubac features over 100 eclectic shops and world class galleries situated along meandering streets punctuated by hidden courtyards and sparkling fountains. A full day can easily disappear wandering amongst this wealth of painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography, as well as unique regional fashion, leather, crafts, antiques and jewelry.

The Tubac Center of the Arts, commanding the main intersection in the village, offers a full range of arts programming and seasonal exhibits that are not to be missed. Several locally owned restaurants and bars offer outstanding fare for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. Our comfortable B & B’s and luxurious golf resort mean that you have many options to stay another day! Established in 1752 as a Spanish Presidio (fort), Tubac now hosts working artists whose studios surround the former parade grounds. The village remembers this colorful history well at the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park, located in Old Town, where outdoor displays and an excellent museum bring it all to life. Spring ArtWalk March 10 & 11


Visitors to the historic artist colony of Tubac will enjoy a variety of demonstrations by local and visiting artists during the weekend of March 10 & 11, 2018

ArtWalk, a weekend celebration of art and the creative process, gives visitors the chance to meet the artists of Tubac inside the village’s galleries and artist studios. Watercolor, oil painting, sculpture, pottery, metal smithing, jewelry and leather crafts are among the arts to be demonstrated. Special exhibits and artist receptions will be hosted by our many fine art galleries.

ArtWalk hours are 10am to 5pm daily. Admission is free.

Docent-led tours (not available to the general public) of the Tubac Presidio, Tumacácori Mission and Tucac Center of the Arts. Enjoy lunch at award-winning Elvira's restaurant and shiopping in Tubac's fine galleries and unique stores.
